Marketing Became My Passion
Hi I’m Bec and I’m the one probably over-enthusiastically actualizing ideas with you, or educating you about that logo you just resized incorrectly.
I’ve been called the branding gate keeper, oddly data focused and an effervescent white board lover. I’ve been called these things as I am obsessed with brand integrity and growth, a fervent supporter of a high functioning CRM and of course the natural, honest and energetic way I deliver strategies.
Prior to being the boss lady behind Plum, I clocked up 12+ years experience in marketing departments both growing my career and leading the pack.
I wasn't born wanting to grow up and be the boss lady behind a marketing agency, I fell into marketing when I was 19 and in a real estate reception position. From there I quickly realized I had a love of all things marketing, and less of a love of answering phone calls!
I moved quickly into a full marketing role by 21 and was heading up project teams, and strategizing with consultants on how to restructure marketing departments by 25. From this experience with highly regarded and awarded consultants I discovered a love of strategy, data, process and procedure and the importance it played in having a successful marketing team, which led to lead generation and overall return on investment. Fluff be gone.
From here I landed a Marketing Manager role in an organisation which had never had a structured marketing department. This experience was to become my 'sweet spot' where I was able to implement strategy and watch brands, sales teams and organisations triple (+ the rest) and have real lasting impact in their industry. This was my 'career famous' point from which I was head hunted for similar positions in small-medium businesses, with the overall goal of growth growth growth!
Now here I am with the ability to reach more brands through my business and spread my knowledge to help businesses reach their goals!
With a little bit of grit and determination over the years I have successfully changed the way business owners and corporates think about the fonts and colours team.
My why is to remove the stress and overwhelm; and demonstrate that marketing strategies don’t need to be over complicated, over budgeted or over fluffy, they need some humanity and consistency.
Recently I have decided to put my incredible talking capabilities (that I have had many people comment on over the years) to good use and now bring you twice weekly implementable marketing tips through my podcast, which I have combined with enjoying my other love in life, coffee - Marketing Espresso is COMING SOON.
I believe all Marketing should be measurable.
